When a project is off the rails what is needed to bring it back on the rails and get it delivered. A chaired structured session with the Business Owner and the Project Manager (or just one if the project is not working) We will Review - the business Benefits case - the Project requirements - the project deliverables and the status of the project - to make sure that from where you are - what is possible. This is a clear the air session - so more of the business stakeholders in the room the better. A mix of group sessions and 121 sessions that allow me to deliver the report needed. Having worked on complex and critical projects - it is often too easy for projects using Agile or other hands off / indirect management techniques to end up down a rabbit hole. In this we look to pull the project out - define the gaps in communication that allowed this to happen and how to get the maximum benefits for the company given the time and resources remaining. At the end of this process - you will have a restatement of the business objectives, a publication of what the project thinks they are delivering - and what is the gap - this will allow decisions to be made. We do not apportion blame but will highlight what needs to change - to allow better interaction between project and management - and get what is needed. Further followups as needed priced separately - other items as needed.
